About Us

Newnan Iron Men is an informal men's Bible Study group that meets each Wednesday at 5:30(that'd be a.m.) in The Warehouse (next to the First Baptist old Sanctuary on Brown Street.) In the winter of 2007, our morning workout group referred to Wednesday at Gold's as cardio day. Cardio day in the greek translates to "I'm sleeping in and will be back at the gym tomorrow for shoulders and triceps." On February 21st of that year, Sean Hart, Mark Miller & Rob Brass met at the offices of Georgia Development Partners and decided to change the format for working on the hearts of the men in the group with the commands of John 15 as our pillars: grow our relationships to both God and to each other. In the first lesson, Mark Miller talked about being a light to our world and that a city on a hill cannot be hidden. Now that original group has grown much larger to include men from several denominations and churches in the area who gather regularly for fellowship, Bible study, prayer, and mutual accountability. The light shines on.
